Deficient multisensory integration in schizophrenia: an event-related potential study

Patients with schizophrenia show deficits in multisensory processing, indicated by impaired auditory event-related brain potential (ERP) responses to audiovisual stimuli. This suggests that multisensory integration dysfunction is a key, under-researched aspect of schizophrenia.
