Surgery for infantile esotropia: is timing everything?

Summary

Early surgery for infantile esotropia improves binocular vision and stereopsis. Waiting for the angle of deviation to stabilize before operating does not significantly alter outcomes, making prompt intervention beneficial for sensory and motor development.
