Sclerostin: Another vascular calcification inhibitor?

In patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), higher sclerostin levels were initially linked to aortic calcification (AC). However, multivariate analysis revealed an inverse association, suggesting sclerostin may protect against vascular calcification progression.
