[A modified hydroxamic acid method for the estimation of the activity of lipase (E.C. 3. 1. 1. 3)]

Optimal conditions for a modified hydroxymic acid method have been worked out with respect to the stability of the substrate emulsion; by systematically varying the ratios of the components of the solutions it was possible to develop a homogeneous reaction system which could be directly measured by spectrophotometry.
