Correlation between prediabetes conditions and microalbuminuria.

Prediabetes, including impaired fasting glucose and impaired glucose tolerance, significantly increases the risk of microalbuminuria. Early screening for albuminuria in prediabetes is recommended to monitor progression to diabetes.
