Summary

Tattoos, skin markings with diverse historical purposes, are increasingly common in forensic autopsies. Their forensic value aids in body identification and deducing personal history from unique designs.

  • Tattooing, the practice of inserting pigment into the skin, has a long history across diverse cultures.
