Abstract:
Sialolithiasis is the formation of calcareous deposits in the salivary ducts or glands; it is a pathologic state within the ducts whereby minerals have formed around an organic matrix. This article will examine the lithogenesis of sialolithiasis by providing and discussing a case report.
