[Peroneal tendoscopy: our experience]

Background:

• Peroneal tendon pathology is a frequent cause of posterolateral ankle pain.

Purpose of the Study:

• To evaluate the role and indications of tendoscopy in managing peroneal tendon pathology.
• To assess the effectiveness of tendoscopy for various peroneal tendon conditions.

• A prospective study involving 23 patients with retrofibular pain treated via peroneal tendoscopy.
• Analysis of diagnosed conditions including peroneal tendon tears, tenosynovitis, luxation, and subluxation.
• Documentation of associated injuries such as osteochondral lesions and soft tissue impingement.

• Common indications identified were tendon tears (brevis and longus), tenosynovitis, and luxation/subluxation.
