Standardized methods are needed to evaluate computer-aided detection and diagnosis (CAD) systems. This paper presents recommendations from the American Association of Physicists in Medicine Computer Aided Detection in Diagnostic Imaging Subcommittee (CADSC) to improve CAD performance assessment.
