Abstract:
Substance abuse patients lack skills in money management and frequently misuse credit cards and checks. They also often neglect physical exercise and are in poor physical condition. A COTA developed special programs to teach exercise and money management as part of a five week treatment program for substance abuse patients. Development and implementation of the programs are described.
