Abstract:
Epidemiologic data indicates that the occurrence of arthritis and related diseases will have a significant impact upon the practice of pharmacy. The two most prevalent diseases are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. These two diseases currently affect millions of Americans. Data is presented that facilitate awareness of the need to develop ways to economically provide pharmaceutical care with the expanding epidmeic of rheumatic diseases.
