Summary

The 1-Hexadecylpyridinium Chloride (HPC) decontamination method significantly reduced contamination and improved Mycobacterium bovis isolation from bovine tissue samples. HPC offers a promising alternative to the traditional Petroff method for tuberculosis diagnostics.
