A rare cause of pacemaker failure: interatrial block

A rare case of pacemaker failure to detect tachyarrhythmia in a patient with intermittent atrioventricular block and sinus node disease is described. Symptoms resolved after AV node ablation, highlighting bidirectional interatrial block as a factor.
