Tri-allelic pattern at the TPOX locus: a familial study.

Tri-allelic genotypes at the TPOX short tandem repeat (STR) locus are uncommon but occur more frequently in certain populations. This study investigated the TPOX third allele in a large pedigree, revealing a potential linkage with Xq.
