1Psycho-Educational Clinic, Department of Psychology, Yale University, 295 Crown St., New Haven, Conn..
Abstract:
This article suggests a way of thinking and a method for action for mental health professionals providing services in community settings. The authors, who are immersed in such a setting as psychological consultants, de scribe their experiences with a group of youths in a Job Corps training program. The discussion points out how the writers, because of their knowledge of, and involvement with, the setting, were in a position to initiate action to assist the youths with their difficulties.
