The challenge of community child psychiatry
1, Lexington, Massachusetts.
Abstract:
The effective practice of community child psychiatry requires an understanding of the reality in which the work is performed. Programs and practices result as much from the requirements of the situation as from the mental health workers' preformed notions of good professional work. The various realities of a specific community psychiatric clinic for children are described and their impact on clinical practice noted.
