    Observation:

    • A case of liposarcoma originating from the renal capsule is presented.
    • Preoperative diagnosis utilized computerized tomography and selective renal angiography.
    • The tumor necessitated the resection of the entire left kidney, weighing 4,370g.

    Findings:

    • Postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy included cyclophosphamide, bleomycin, actinomycin D, adriamycin, and vinblastine.
    • The patient's general condition remained stable post-surgery.
    • Local recurrence of the liposarcoma occurred 24 months after the operation.

    Implications:

    • This case adds to the limited reported instances of renal capsule liposarcoma in Japan.
    • The findings underscore the aggressive nature and potential for recurrence of this rare malignancy.
    • Further research into optimal treatment strategies for renal capsule liposarcoma is warranted.
