  • A maxillary first premolar with vestibular face involvement was prepared for an inverted 4/5 crown.
  • An allogeneic (from a natural tooth) fragment with similar color and dimensions was used for restoration.
  • The restoration was monitored for 12 months.

Findings:

  • The biological restoration remained stable after one year.
  • No clinical signs of recurrent caries, fragment migration, or marginal infiltration were observed.
  • The restoration successfully reestablished tooth function and aesthetics.

Implications:

  • Biological restoration using natural tooth fragments is a viable alternative to conventional restorative options.
  • This technique can effectively restore function and aesthetics in damaged or decayed teeth.
  • Further research into allogeneic tooth fragment applications in dentistry is warranted.
