Subcortical aphasia: a specific clinical picture?

Aphasia syndromes in deep-seated lesions were studied in 100 patients. Atypical aphasia was rare and equally frequent in cortico-subcortical and capsulostriatal lesions, with less severe comprehension issues in the latter.
