Summary

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are common. While typically showing high (18)F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake on PET/CT scans, some GISTs can have low or negative uptake, demonstrating that FDG negativity does not rule out GIST.
