Background:

Mobile applications are surpassing web applications in popularity, with a significant number of health-related apps available.
The PubMed4Hh mobile app was developed to provide iPhone/iPad users access to MEDLINE/PubMed.
Existing web-based search tools have been in use since 2002.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the usage trends of the PubMed4Hh mobile app compared to its web-based counterpart.
To analyze the types of queries submitted through the mobile application.

Analysis of five-year (2008-2012) server data for both PubMed4Hh mobile and web applications.
