Angiotensin-converting enzyme insertion/deletion gene polymorphism is associated with dermatomyositis

The angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) D/D genotype is linked to an increased risk of developing dermatomyositis (DM). This finding suggests a potential genetic marker for DM susceptibility.
