Summary

Horizontal glottectomy offers excellent oncological outcomes for selected glottic tumor patients. This surgical approach demonstrates high survival rates and low recurrence, making it a safe and effective treatment option.

Background:

Glottic tumors require effective surgical treatment.
Horizontal glottectomy is a surgical option for glottic tumors.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the oncological results of horizontal glottectomy.
To assess survival and recurrence rates after the procedure.

Main Methods:

Retrospective analysis of 35 patients who underwent horizontal glottectomy.
Kaplan-Meier method used for survival analysis.
Mean follow-up of 77.9 months.

Main Results:

High overall survival rates: 97% at 3 years, 93% at 5 years.
High disease-specific survival rates: 100% at 3 years, 97% at 5 years.

Conclusions:
