Abstract:
The use of chemotherapeutic agents in the therapy of cancer has led many physicians to increase the dose of these agents in the hopes of increasing efficacy. Increasing dosages caused an increase in the toxicity, which was occasionally life threatening and required aggressive therapeutic measures.
