Main Results:

  • Robotic assistance more than doubled the number of minimally invasive liver resections performed.
  • Increased rates of minimally invasive surgery for hepatocellular carcinoma (44% vs. 15%) and major hepatectomy (39% vs. 15%) were observed with robotic assistance.
  • Comparable conversion rates (5%) and morbidity (8%) were achieved, with successful robotic-assisted living donor liver harvest.

Conclusions:
