Sex differences in the effects of type 2 diabetes on exercise performance

Women with type 2 diabetes (T2D) show greater exercise impairment than men with T2D, indicating potential cardiovascular risks. This reduced exercise capacity in women with T2D may explain their higher cardiovascular morbidity and mortality rates.
