ERp57 modulates mitochondrial calcium uptake through the MCU.

The protein ERp57 regulates mitochondrial calcium uptake by controlling the expression of the mitochondrial calcium uniporter (MCU). Silencing ERp57 reduces MCU levels and inhibits calcium uptake.
