Decreased motor function is associated with poorer cognitive function in elderly with type 2 diabetes

In older adults with type 2 diabetes (T2D), poorer motor function like slower walking and weaker grip strength correlates with cognitive decline in most areas. Episodic memory was not associated, suggesting different underlying mechanisms.
