Abstract:
It has always been difficult to provide the patient who has had a below knee amputation and has a fixed flexion contracture, with a suitable artificial limb. The adaptation of the Patellar Tendon Bearing (PTB) below knee prosthesis and the subsequent Supracondylar Variation (PTS) of this type of prosthesis has been applied to this problem.
