Abstract:
Because of his inability to lift the forefoot the patient with dropped foot drags his toe along the ground or stubs it against minor obstructions. The problem may be localized to the foot and ankle but for the majority who suffer from central nervous system lesions there is an associated weakness of the knee and/or hip.
