Extensive subcutaneous emphysema complicating a percutaneous Mumford procedure

A percutaneous Mumford procedure can cause extensive subcutaneous emphysema, even without pneumomediastinum or pneumothorax. This rare complication highlights the need to understand its mechanism to prevent it.
