Abnormal white matter integrity in chronic users of codeine-containing cough syrups: a tract-based spatial statistics

Chronic codeine-containing cough syrup abuse is linked to white matter (WM) integrity disruptions in the brain. These microstructural deficits correlate with increased impulsivity and longer duration of syrup use in abusers.
