Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the efficacy of thalidomide in an experimental rat model of endometriosis.
  • To assess the impact of thalidomide on endometriosis lesion severity and associated inflammatory markers.

Main Methods:

  • A randomized, double-blind, controlled animal trial was conducted.
  • Endometriosis was surgically induced in Sprague-Dawley rats.
  • Rats received either thalidomide (22 mg/day) or a saline control for 6 weeks.
