Summary

Hypomaturation amelogenesis imperfecta, a hereditary enamel disorder, shows significant differences in structure, mineral content, and mechanical properties compared to normal enamel. Retained organic matrix and high carbonate content disrupt biomineralization, impacting enamel quality and function.
