Effect of premenstrual stress on autonomic function

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) significantly increases autonomic nervous system activity, leading to higher heart rate and blood pressure during the premenstrual phase. This heightened sympathetic response in PMS is linked to hormonal fluctuations affecting neurotransmitters.
