Subfoveal choroidal thickness (SFCT) was not significantly associated with glaucoma in a large population study. Enhanced depth imaging spectral domain optical coherence tomography (EDI-SD-OCT) did not reveal a link between SFCT and open-angle or angle-closure glaucoma.

- Glaucoma, including OAG and ACG, is not associated with abnormal subfoveal choroidal thickness.
- Multivariate analysis adjusted for age, axial length, gender, anterior chamber, and lens thickness supports these findings.
- EDI-SD-OCT is a valuable tool for assessing choroidal thickness, but SFCT does not appear to be a reliable indicator for glaucoma in this cohort.
