    Summary

    Duodenal neoplasms are rare, presenting diagnostic and treatment challenges. Despite surgical interventions, patients often have poor outcomes due to late diagnosis and complications.

    • Duodenal neoplasms are rare and challenging to diagnose.
    • There is no standardized management protocol for duodenal tumors.

    Observation:

    • This study reports on the management of four patients with duodenal neoplasms.
    • Surgical options included pancreaticoduodenectomy, segmental resection, and palliative bypass.

    Findings:

    • Three patients died post-surgery due to complications like dehiscence and bleeding.
    • The one patient who received a palliative bypass died within four months.

    Implications:

    • Late diagnosis and emergency surgery contribute to poor prognosis in duodenal neoplasms.
    • The rarity of these tumors hinders the development of standardized diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
