Root replacement surgery versus more conservative management during type A acute aortic dissection repair

Root replacement (RR) for type A acute aortic dissection did not increase hospital mortality compared to conservative management (CR). Both RR and CR approaches showed similar midterm survival and freedom from reintervention, supporting tailored RR based on patient factors.
