Summary

Choriocarcinoma syndrome is a dangerous complication of germ cell tumors. Early diagnosis and treatment are crucial to prevent fatal hemorrhagic events in patients with advanced cancer.

  • Choriocarcinoma syndrome is a rare but potentially fatal complication in advanced germ cell tumors with choriocarcinoma elements.
  • It presents with hemorrhagic manifestations in metastases, often occurring before or during chemotherapy.

  • This study reports two cases of choriocarcinoma syndrome presenting with hemorrhage in liver metastases.
  • Unique ultrasound and CT imaging characteristics of these hemorrhages are presented.
