This case report details a rare instance of malignant melanoma metastasizing to the stomach, lungs, and brain. Despite treatment, the patient

  • Gastric metastases from melanoma are exceptionally rare.

Observation:

  • A 56-year-old man with lower extremity melanoma presented with epigastric pain.
  • Endoscopy revealed gastric lesions consistent with metastatic melanoma.
  • Physical examination confirmed a primary lesion on the heel.

Findings:

  • Pathologic examination of gastric biopsy confirmed pigmented tumor cells.
  • Immunohistochemical staining (HMB-45, Fontana) showed high positivity.
  • The patient developed pulmonary and brain metastases.

Implications:

  • Highlights the aggressive potential of melanoma, even with rare metastatic sites.
