Antimicrobial susceptibility pattern in diabetic foot ulcer: a pilot study.

Diabetic foot infections are often polymicrobial. Gram-negative bacteria were more prevalent than Gram-positive bacteria. Doxycycline is recommended for Gram-positive isolates, while amikacin, cefoperazone/sulbactam, and meropenem are effective for Gram-negative aerobes.
