    Summary

    Intravenous vitamin C (ascorbic acid, or AA) shows promise in treating bone metastases after radiotherapy. This pilot study found AA reduced pain by 55% and improved survival, with acceptable toxicity.

  • Pain and performance status were assessed using the Visual Analog Scale and ECOG Performance Scale.
