Abstract:
The assessment of stability is one of the most important problems in the analysis of vertebral trauma. There are numerous indirect signs of instability. The "three column model" provides a concept towards a better understanding of instability. Compared with the conventional complex classifications, the new system based on the "three column model" provides certain advantages.
