Summary

Amyloidoma, a rare localized amyloid deposit, can occur in the skin without systemic disease. This case highlights successful surgical removal of a solitary skin amyloidoma on the lip.

  • A 49-year-old male presented with a solitary lesion on his left upper lip.
  • Medical evaluation revealed no signs of systemic amyloidosis.
  • The lesion was diagnosed as a skin amyloidoma.

Findings:

  • Surgical excision using a tangential shave technique was performed.
  • Histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of amyloidoma.
  • No recurrence was observed post-surgery.
