  • LeFort colpocleisis (LFC) is a surgical option for advanced pelvic organ prolapse in older women.
  • A significant limitation of LFC is the difficulty in diagnosing subsequent gynecologic malignancies.

  • To report the first case of endometrioid ovarian cancer following LFC.
  • To review all reported gynecologic malignancies diagnosed after LFC in the English medical literature.
  • To propose a strategy for evaluating post-LFC malignancies.

  • Case report of endometrioid ovarian cancer after LFC.
  • Systematic literature review of gynecologic malignancies post-LFC.

Main Results:

  • The reported case is the second ovarian cancer and the first endometrioid subtype diagnosed after LFC.
  • A total of nine other gynecologic malignancies have been previously reported post-LFC.
  • Gynecologic malignancies are rare complications following LFC.
