Postpartum adiponectin changes in women with gestational diabetes

Adiponectin (AdipoQ) levels in women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) did not change significantly 3 months postpartum but increased by 12 months. This rise may indicate improved glucose metabolism and predict future glucose tolerance disturbances.
