Summary

Fundus autofluorescence (FAF) changes, specifically a doughnut-shaped hyper-autofluorescence ring in the macula, were observed more frequently in patients with chronic essential hypertension (HTN). This finding may serve as a potential FAF biomarker for hypertension.
