Dipylidium caninum infection in dogs infested with fleas

Fleas (Ctenocephalides canis) commonly infest dogs, leading to pruritus and weight loss. This study identified Dipylidium caninum infection in flea-infested dogs through clinical signs and direct observation of tapeworm segments.
