[Chemical constituents of Mallotus paniculatus]
Objective:
To study the chemical constituents of Mallotus paniculatus.
Methods:
Column chromatography were used for the isolation and purification. Spectroscopic methods including 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and MS were used for the identification of structures.
Results:
Six compounds were isolated from the CHCl3 extract of 75% alcohol extract of the whole plant and identified to be quercetin( 1), kaempherol(2), hesperetin (3), 7,3'-O-dimethylluteolin (4), p-sitosterol (5) and syringaresinol (6).
Conclusion:
All the compounds above were isolated from this plant for the first time.
