    Summary

    Uncombined alpha-subunit and Luteinizing Hormone (LH) are secreted in pulses. In conditions lacking androgens, pulse frequency increases, but alpha assays may overestimate levels.

    Background:

    • Pulsatile secretion of hormones is crucial for physiological function.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To compare the pulsatile secretion of uncombined alpha-subunit with LH in normal men and in individuals with hypogonadism.
